Chinese New Year 2006 : Yesterday, I went up to see the Chinese New Year celebrations in Chinatown in London. I arrived at Charing Cross Road about half an hour after the procession had started, and so missed the dragons I was looking forward to seeing, and caught just a glimpse of one down some very crowded backstreet.<br><br>The youngsters were part of a dance group, and were playing behind the stage that had been set up in Trafalgar Square. Originally a colour shot, I decided on mono as it suits my personal taste, and although the costumes on very colourful, this shot didn't contain enough colour to make it add anything to the overall image. : (C) Gary Tong : chinese new year,china,london
